Shot over 11 days and two nights in and around New Jersey, with the interior scenes mostly in a dilapidated, dirty house, MOTHER'S DAY MASSACRE is a mixture of slasher and bizarre terror film with elements of revenge movies, while the dilapidated sets give the film a dirty touch, so that associations with TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE are more than obvious. A bloodthirsty, sick homage to the terror cinema of the 1970s.
